Gujarat govt to hold district-level programmes ahead of VGRC Kutch–Saurashtra region

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government on Thursday announced that district-level programmes under the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch–Saurashtra region are being organised across multiple districts to promote industry, investment and employment generation. The events are being held in Porbandar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Bhavnagar, Botad and Surendranagar.

In Porbandar, VGRC programmes will begin on December 19, 2025, followed by seminars on December 20, with exhibitions continuing till December 21 at Tajawala Hall and Natwarsinhji Club Ground. The agenda includes a blue bio-economy roadmap, Agri and Food Processing Conclave, and ‘Sashkat Nari Mela’ for women empowerment. The event will be attended by In-charge Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya, Minister Arjun Modhwadia, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Additional Industries Commissioner (Extension) R.N. Dodiya (IAS).

In Devbhumi Dwarka, a one-day district-level programme will be held at Jam-Khambhalia on December 19 at 3 pm, where In-charge Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya will address the gathering in the presence of Industries Commissioner P. Swaroop (IAS).

In Bhavnagar, a programme scheduled at Iscon Club and Resort at 10:30 am on December 19 will be attended by In-charge Secretary and Minister Kaushik Vekariya and Commissioner of Geology and Mining Dr Dhaval Patel (IAS), focusing on minerals, industrial development and state policies.

In Botad, a one-day programme at 10 am on December 19 will be attended by In-charge Minister Rivabaa Jadeja and GIDC Vice Chairman and MD Praveena D.K., offering guidance on industrial infrastructure and investment opportunities for MSMEs and start-ups.

In Surendranagar, a programme at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Town Hall at 10:30 am on December 19 will feature an address by In-charge Minister Darshna Vaghela, with a presentation by Cottage and Rural Industries Secretary and Commissioner Ardra Agrawal (IAS) on start-ups, innovation, MSMEs and government schemes.

Across all districts, the VGRC programmes include entrepreneur interactions, MoU signings, cheque distribution, start-up and MSME-focused seminars, and exhibitions.
