Minimum temperatures jump above normal across most of Gujarat; Amreli, Deesa among coolest

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across Gujarat on Thursday remained largely near to above normal, with only isolated pockets recording marginally cooler conditions, according to the weather report issued this morning by India Meteorological Department (IMD)
Amreli recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 12.6°C, which was 0.1°C below normal. Deesa followed closely at 12.9°C, while Baroda registered a minimum of 13.2°C, both slightly below or near seasonal averages. Gandhinagar recorded 14.0°C, about 2.3°C above normal, indicating a mild night in the capital region.
Ahmedabad reported a minimum temperature of 15.4°C, which was 1.8°C above normal, while Bhavnagar stood at 15.6°C and Bhuj at 15.2°C, both also above their respective normals. Rajkot recorded a comparatively warmer night with a minimum of 16.9°C, around 2.8°C above normal.
Coastal and south Gujarat regions continued to experience relatively higher night temperatures. Dwarka recorded 19.7°C, Okha 20.7°C, Surat 19.4°C, Veraval 19.5°C, and Kandla 17.5°C, all above normal levels for mid-December.
Relative humidity levels during the morning hours remained moderate to high across most stations, while no rainfall was reported anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours.
Overall, the weather pattern indicates stable and dry conditions across Gujarat, with mild winter nights prevailing in most districts and no significant cold wave conditions observed so far. DeshGujarat
