Gujarat govt signs MoUs with six SpaceTech companies at PDEU roundtable conference

Gandhinagar: In a step towards the state’s ambition to emerge as a leader in India’s growing space economy, the Gujarat SpaceTech Round Table was organised at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar. The event brought together senior government officials, leading space technology experts, and entrepreneurs for strategic discussions and collaborative initiatives, said an official statement.

In the presence of Gujarat Minister for Science and Technology, Forest and Environment, Arjun Modhwadia, the Government of Gujarat signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with six leading SpaceTech companies, namely Optimized Solutions, Catalyx, Piersight Space, Spantrik, Satleo Lab, and Orbit Space.

The round table facilitated direct interaction between industry stakeholders and government institutions through company introductions and open-house industry interaction sessions, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the SpaceTech ecosystem.

A high-impact Business-to-Government (B2G) meeting was also chaired by Minister Modhwadia. The meeting provided a platform for in-depth engagement between industry leaders and the state government to implement the strategic vision for Gujarat’s space sector, according to an official press release.

Speaking about the state’s long-term strategy, the minister highlighted the role of the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM), a strategic initiative of the Gujarat government aimed at building a world-class ecosystem for electronics, semiconductor, and SpaceTech manufacturing. The mission seeks to position Gujarat as a leading national hub for Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), semiconductor fabrication, and SpaceTech innovation, while attracting global investments and enabling advanced manufacturing capabilities to drive India’s technological growth.
