CISF Recovers British Passenger’s Rs 5-Crore Watch at Rajkot Airport

Rajkot: In a swift operation, personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recovered a British passenger’s gold watch worth approximately Rs 5 crore within just 30 minutes at Rajkot International Airport.
According to airport authority sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning, January 20, when passengers were preparing to board a flight from Rajkot to Mumbai at around 8.35 am. During the rush at the security check area, a London-bound British passenger discovered that his extremely valuable gold watch had gone missing.
Following the complaint, CISF Inspector N.S. Rathore immediately directed his team into action. The CISF intelligence unit and CCTV surveillance staff began reviewing camera footage and tracking passenger movement within the terminal.
CCTV analysis revealed that amid the morning rush, the watch had been taken by another passenger during the security screening process. As boarding commenced, CISF personnel identified the suspect and promptly recovered the watch from the other passenger.
The precious watch was safely returned to its rightful owner within half an hour of the complaint. Sources confirmed that the passenger who had taken the watch later wrote a written apology to the British passenger.
Impressed by the speed and efficiency of the response, the London-bound passenger expressed appreciation for the CISF’s prompt action and professionalism.
