New GIDC Estate to Come Up in Dudhva, Development Works Worth ₹207 Crore Gifted to Vav–Tharad District

Vav–Tharad:A new Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate will be developed at Dudhva in the newly formed Vav–Tharad district, paving the way for the establishment of several industries and opening new avenues for employment and economic growth in the region.

The Vav–Tharad district is hosting the state-level celebration of the 77th Republic Day this year. On this occasion, the district has received a major development boost with projects worth more than ₹207 crore. Among these, the establishment of the Dudhva GIDC has emerged as a key initiative.

On Monday, the Chief Minister performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the Dudhva GIDC on 99.23 acres of government land, in the presence of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and other dignitaries. The new industrial estate is expected to play a significant role in accelerating industrial development in the border district and strengthening the local economy.

In addition, the Governor and the Chief Minister jointly inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a total of 25 development works undertaken by various departments, including the Roads and Buildings Department, Primary Education Department, ST Corporation, Tharad and Bhabhar Municipal Corporations, and the Revenue Department.

These works include the ground-breaking ceremony of the District Seva Sadan at Malupur, the foundation laying of the new GIDC at Dudhva, and the unveiling of the newly constructed Gau Mata Circle in Tharad. Several other infrastructure and public utility projects were also launched during the event.

Officials stated that these development initiatives will strengthen administrative infrastructure, improve public services and create a strong foundation for long-term growth in the Vav–Tharad district. DeshGujarat
