Ahmedabad: Ongoing construction work for the bullet train project has once again led to traffic restrictions in the city, with the Shahibaug underpass set to remain closed during night hours until February 4.
Earlier, the underpass was shut for vehicular movement from 8 pm on January 23 to midnight on January 28. Now, a fresh notification has been issued announcing that the underpass will be closed again from 11 pm to 6 am daily starting today until February 4.
According to an order released by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad Traffic Department, the decision has been taken to ensure smooth execution of bullet train-related construction activities in the area.

Traffic coming from the Airport-Gandhinagar side can also use the Dafnala Riverfront route to reach different parts of the city.
Commuters travelling towards Asarwa, Girdharnagar, Delhi Darwaja, or Kalupur can use the route via Shahibaug and Mahapragyaji Bridge to connect to main roads.
Vehicles coming from Girdharnagar-Asarwa and heading towards Gandhinagar or the Airport can travel via Shahibaug, Ankshi, Gayatri Mandir, and the Army Cantonment, before proceeding towards the Airport or Indira Bridge for Gandhinagar.
