February 13, 2026
Ahmedabad: Prompt action by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel helped reunite a passenger with ₹50,000 in cash that he had accidentally left behind at the security hold area of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday.
The passenger, Hardik Dave, was travelling from Ahmedabad to Goa when he unknowingly dropped the bundle of cash on the output roller of the X-BIS machine after completing the screening process and proceeded toward the departure gate. Alert CISF staff spotted the unattended currency on the conveyor belt and immediately secured it.
The team then reviewed CCTV footage and coordinated with airport authorities to trace the passenger before his flight departed. Following necessary verification and documentation, the cash was safely handed back to him. DeshGujarat
