Gujarat Cabinet Clears 23 Land Allocation Proposals for Water, Power, and Port Projects

Gandhinagar: In a significant move aimed at boosting Gujarat’s overall development, the state cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has approved 23 proposals for land allocation to various government boards and corporations. The announcement was made by government spokesperson and Minister Jitu Vaghani.

According to the minister, over 1.22 crore square meters of land have been allocated by the Revenue Department to agencies including the Gujarat Water Supply Board, GETCO, Gujarat Power Corporation, and the Gujarat Maritime Board for key infrastructure and development projects across multiple districts.

The largest land parcel, approximately 1,20,60,000 square metres, has been allotted to Gujarat Power Corporation at Radhanesda in Banaskantha district. The remaining allocations include around 1,36,291 square metres to the Gujarat Water Supply Board at 14 locations, 31,010 square metres to GETCO across seven locations to strengthen power infrastructure, and 25,795 square metres to the Gujarat Maritime Board for port development at Katpar in Mahuva.
