CJI Surya Kant to be Chief Guest at NFSU Convocation in Gandhinagar; To Launch IDDRC

Gandhinagar: The 4th Convocation of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) will be held on February 27, 2026, with the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, set to preside over the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Justice Sunita Agarwal, Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, will attend the function as Guests of Honour. Padma Shri awardee Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU, will confer degrees upon the graduating students, a press release said.

Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU Gandhinagar, stated that a total of 1,799 students will receive degrees during the convocation, including 17 Ph.D. scholars. In recognition of academic excellence, 52 gold medals will be awarded to meritorious students.

A key highlight of the ceremony will be the inauguration of the International Digital Dispute Resolution Centre (IDDRC) by the Chief Justice of India. The centre aims to transform judicial processes by leveraging digital technology to ensure innovation, transparency, and expeditious dispute resolution. It is envisioned to strengthen accessibility and efficiency in dispute resolution both nationally and internationally.

The convocation is expected to witness the presence of international dignitaries, including representatives from Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia, along with eminent personalities from across India, officers from various law enforcement agencies, judicial officers, members of the Board of Governors and Academic Council, faculty members, students, and their families.
