February 26, 2026
Gandhinagar: In a move aimed at strengthening infrastructure for national and multinational companies operating in the Sanand Industrial Estate, the Gujarat government has completed the auction process for the construction of a premium hotel.
A plot measuring 20,168.54 square metres (approximately five acres) in the Sanand-2 Industrial Estate was specifically reserved for the project. The e-auction for the plot was concluded on December 22, 2025, the government said in a press release.
Following the auction, the highest bidder has been allotted the plot in accordance with prescribed norms. The developer has been granted a four-year moratorium period to commence construction of a 3- to 5-star hotel.
Meanwhile, construction of a five-star hotel is already underway about 3 km from the Sanand Industrial Estate, further boosting hospitality infrastructure in the region.
On February 28, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate Micron Technology’s advanced semiconductor plant at the Sanand Industrial Estate. With the growing presence of multinational companies in the area, the upcoming hotel is expected to cater to visiting delegates, business travellers, and employees.
The Sanand Industrial Estate currently houses 1,150 operational units and is equipped with modern infrastructure and well-planned connectivity, supporting sustained industrial growth. A dedicated women’s industrial park has also been established to promote women’s empowerment. The state government has further strengthened the Ease of Doing Business framework through industry-friendly policies. DeshGujarat
