Surat Airport Introduces Laptop Workstations to Boost Passenger Convenience
February 26, 2026
Surat: With a rise in footfall, passenger amenities at Surat International Airport are being steadily enhanced to improve the overall travel experience. The airport has introduced laptop workstations from Tuesday to help passengers make productive use of their time while waiting for flights. This comes after the recent launch of facilities such as the Udan Yatri Café, Avsar Outlet under the ‘One Airport One Product’ initiative, DigiYatra, Wi-Fi services, and a Kids’ Play Area.
The facility has been designed to ensure easy access for both domestic and international passengers. Separate laptop workstations have been set up in designated areas for domestic and international flyers. Each workstation accommodates up to four passengers at a time while maintaining adequate privacy. Wi-Fi connectivity is also available, enabling passengers to carry out office work, send emails, prepare presentations, or attend online meetings without inconvenience.
With this addition, passengers can utilise their waiting time more efficiently instead of remaining idle. Given Surat’s prominence as a major hub for the diamond and textile industries, the facility is expected to provide significant convenience, particularly for business travellers and international passengers.
Surat Airport Director Anand Sharma stated that such initiatives make the airport smarter and more business-friendly, further strengthening the progressive image of the city.
In addition to the laptop workstations, five new mobile charging stations have also been installed at the airport. Each station is equipped with 12 mobile charging points, offering enhanced convenience to passengers. DeshGujarat
