Ahmedabad: Flight operations between Ahmedabad and several Gulf destinations continue to face disruption, with multiple arrivals and departures cancelled at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport amid the escalating conflict in West Asia.

The disruption has entered its fifth day after the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, following which several airspaces across the Gulf region were partially shut or restricted.

According to the airport’s flight information display system, at least 11 incoming and 11 outgoing flights linked to Gulf countries were cancelled. The affected routes include services to and from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Doha, and Baghdad.

Among the cancelled arrivals were flights operated by Emirates, Etihad Airways, IndiGo, Air Arabia, SpiceJet, Kuwait Airways, and Iraqi Airways from cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait City, and Baghdad.

Similarly, several departures from Ahmedabad to these destinations were also called off, including flights operated by IndiGo, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, SpiceJet, Kuwait Airways, Iraqi Airways, and Qatar Airways.

Meanwhile, IndiGo operated a special flight from Jeddah to Ahmedabad, which landed at 2:29 am on Thursday, bringing stranded passengers from the Gulf region back to India.
