Kim (Surat district): Menace of transgenders dressed as eunuch is everywhere in Gujarat across bus-stations, highway stoppages (such as railway crossings or toll plazas). In a dramatic scene unfolded near Kim Crossroads when a transgender person allegedly assaulted passengers on a State Transport (ST) bus and later created a traffic jam on the highway after an argument with the police.

According to information received, an ST bus travelling from Rajpipla to Khangela via Surat had halted near Kim Chokdi when a transgender person boarded the bus and began demanding money from passengers.

After one passenger handed over money, the individual allegedly demanded more, claiming the amount given was not sufficient. This led to a heated argument between the passengers and the transgender person. The situation escalated when the accused allegedly assaulted passengers inside the bus, creating panic among commuters.

Following the incident, Kosamba police rushed to the spot and brought the bus along with the passengers to the Palod police outpost of Kosamba police station for further action.

However, the situation turned tense again when the transgender person allegedly misbehaved with police personnel, including the PSI, and reportedly issued threats. In protest, the individual sat down in the middle of the highway, resulting in a traffic jam in the area.

Police later registered a case against the transgender person. Meanwhile, videos of the incident and the ensuing chaos have gone viral on social media, drawing attention to the episode.
