Residents seek implementation of Disturbed Areas Act in Bhayli area of Vadodara

Vadodara: A controversy has erupted over the sale of a flat in Spring Retreat One society located in the Bhayli area of the city. Residents of the society allege that the flat was sold without the knowledge of the society and without obtaining the required NOC (No Objection Certificate), and the transaction is being strongly opposed by the members.

Talking to the media, Amar Mahendra Shah said, “We have been living in this society for the last 14 years. A resident of our society, Manoj Kumar Bhatia of B-301, has sold his flat to Amiben Atulbhai Patel, whose father’s name is Hatimbhai Haider Ali Sadriwala, without taking the society’s NOC. The documents have been prepared without the approval of all residents of the society. We strongly oppose this transaction. The process has been carried out without informing the society, and therefore we will not allow possession of this flat under any circumstances. All residents of the society are with us, and people from Bhayli are also supporting us. We request the government to include Bhayli under Ashant Dhara as soon as possible.”

Demand for Ashant Dhara

Residents have appealed to the government to bring the Bhayli area under the Disturbed Areas Act at the earliest. They say the demand is linked to the presence of several religious places around the society. A Jain temple is located directly opposite the society, while Kashimath Temple, Dada Bhagwan Temple, and another Jain temple under construction are situated behind the premises.

Residents stated that, considering the religious atmosphere and security concerns, implementation of the Disturbed Areas Act in the area is necessary. DeshGujarat
