Ahmedabad: A fire broke out on the third floor of C Block at Riviera Elite, Sky City Township on Club 07 Road in the Shela area this morning, triggering a tense situation among residents. Around 12 fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the spot, and the blaze was brought under control without any casualties.

According to fire officials, the incident was reported around 8:00 am after flames were seen in a flat on the third floor. The fire intensified and spread to the fourth floor, while thick smoke reached the upper floors of the building, prompting evacuation of residents from higher levels.

Chief Fire Officer A.K. Dongre said the fire brigade teams from Bopal, Thaltej and Prahladnagar stations responded immediately. Residents of the building were safely evacuated, and those on the upper floors were first moved to the terrace before being brought down after the situation was brought under control.

Officials said the fire was confined to one flat each on the third and fourth floors. The blaze spread quickly due to wooden interior work inside the flat. Security staff alerted residents in time, helping prevent casualties.

Around 35–40 fire personnel participated in the operation, and the fire was completely extinguished after sustained efforts. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. DeshGujarat
