Shakti Sandwich, House of Momos Among 17 Units Fined over Analogue Paneer Disclosure Violations in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat, carried out a special enforcement drive today to verify compliance with mandatory display boards indicating the use of paneer or paneer analogue in hotels and restaurants.

During the drive, multiple establishments across Ahmedabad were inspected, and fines were imposed on violators for failing to comply with disclosure norms.

Statewide Enforcement Drive

The FDCA stated that a statewide drive is currently underway to ensure strict compliance regarding the use of paneer and paneer analogue in food establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and roadside eateries.

As part of this intensive inspection drive, a total of 347 establishments were checked across Gujarat in a single day. Authorities also seized and destroyed approximately 615 kg of food material found to be non-compliant or suspicious.
