GSRTC Resumes Online Passenger Pass Service; Over 2 Lakh to Benefit
April 07, 2026
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Tuesday announced that the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has resumed its online passenger pass service, offering major relief to daily commuters across the state.
According to the announcement, the online pass facility under the daily passenger pass scheme had been temporarily suspended due to technical issues. The service has now been restored after the corporation developed an in-house software system.
With the relaunch, passengers can now make payments for their travel passes online using QR codes. After completing the payment through their mobile phones, commuters can collect a printed pass from their nearest bus station.
The move is expected to benefit over two lakh daily commuters who regularly travel on local and express buses. The restored system will eliminate the need for passengers to stand in long queues at bus stations to obtain their passes. DeshGujarat
