Fire Erupts at Ratnakar-3 Building in Satellite Area of Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A fire broke out in a flat on the third floor of B Block in the Ratnakar-3 building on Jodhpur Prerna Tirth Road in Ahmedabad’s Satellite area on Saturday. Six fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot after the incident was reported and managed to bring the blaze under control using water jets. No casualties were reported.

According to officials, the fire severely damaged three rooms in the flat, reducing them to ashes. Household belongings, including an air conditioner, fan, bed, and other items, were extensively damaged in the blaze. Fire personnel later carried out cooling operations to prevent any flare-up.

Residents of the building quickly evacuated after the fire broke out, while emergency teams reached the site and launched firefighting operations. Authorities said a major tragedy was averted as only one person was inside the flat at the time of the incident. The presence of firefighting equipment in the building also helped contain the situation.

The incident comes a day after another major fire broke out in the B Wing of the Solitaire Building on SG Highway in Ahmedabad. The blaze spread from the third floor to the fourth and fifth floors, causing panic in the area. Preliminary investigations suggested that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. Around 50 people were rescued, while one person sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital after receiving CPR from fire personnel.

Separately, a fire also broke out at the ‘Faith’ wax manufacturing factory in Santej near Kalol, which was later brought under control by fire officials. DeshGujarat
