‘Leopard Under Car’ in Viral Video from Ahmedabad’s Ghuma Was Actually a Cat: Forest Dept

Ahmedabad: The Forest Department has clarified that the animal seen in a viral video emerging from beneath a parked car in Green City Society, Ghuma, is a cat and not a leopard.

Acting on the viral video, a team from the Social Forestry Department visited the society and conducted an inspection. During the inquiry, officials found that the footprints at the spot matched those of a cat. They also confirmed that the same cat had been seen coming out from under another parked vehicle, ruling out the presence of a leopard.

The department has appealed to the public not to spread rumours or unverified information about wildlife sightings, as such claims can create unnecessary panic.
