Lion Attacks a Person in Bhavnagar District

Palitana: A wave of panic has gripped rural communities in the Bhavnagar district following a ferocious lion attack in Todi village.

According to local reports, a wild lion initially targeted and attacked livestock in the area. When a local herdsman intervened to rescue his animals, the big cat turned its aggression toward him, launching a brutal assault.

The victim sustained severe injuries across multiple parts of his body during the encounter. Following the incident, he was rushed to a private hospital in Palitana for urgent medical treatment.

Local authorities and the Palitana Forest Department have been notified of the event. The attack has left area livestock owners and residents deeply frightened, heightening concerns over safety and increasing wildlife movement near human settlements.
