AMC Seals Four Shops in Bodakdev

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) sealed four shops in Ahmedabad’s Bodakdev area on October 24 for causing public nuisance and violating solid waste management rules. During a special inspection drive, the civic body checked around 130 commercial establishments, issued notices to 99 units, seized 11 kg of plastic and collected ₹97,100 in fines.

The drive was conducted by the AMC’s Solid Waste Management Department in the North-West Zone to curb littering on public roads, maintain cleanliness and protect public health. The inspection covered commercial establishments, vegetable vendors, paan stalls and tea stalls, among other units.

The four establishments sealed during the drive were:

• PM Jewellers, Keshavbaug Capital, Keshavbaug Cross Road, Vastrapur
• Shop No. 12, Keshavbaug Capital, Keshavbaug Cross Road, Vastrapur
• Lala Premanand Sons, Corporate House, Bodakdev
• Mafia Trend Limited, Prabhu Kutir Complex, Bodakdev

The AMC said it would continue taking strict action against commercial establishments found violating solid waste management rules, littering public roads or engaging in activities that could adversely affect public health. DeshGujarat
