AMC Water Supply to Be Reduced in Five Zones of Ahmedabad on Oct 25

Ahmedabad: Water supply will be reduced in five zones of Ahmedabad on October 25 due to fluctuations in water levels in the Narmada Main Canal, which have affected the availability of raw water at the Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Kotarpur Water Works.

According to the AMC, fluctuations in water levels near the civic body’s head regulator on the Narmada Main Canal have resulted in an inadequate supply of raw water to the Kotarpur facility.

The available raw water at the treatment plant will be processed and distributed to water distribution stations serving the Central, West, North, East and South zones of the city. However, the quantity of water supplied through these stations will be reduced on Sunday, October 25.

The AMC has urged residents in the affected areas to take note of the scheduled reduction and use water judiciously. The civic body has also appealed to citizens to cooperate during the disruption. DeshGujarat
