Ekta Nagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participates in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at the Parade Ground in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on Saturday, marking the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The celebrations feature the Ekta Parade, showcasing the discipline, professionalism, courage and dedication of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), State Police Forces and Central Police Organisations. This year’s parade places special emphasis on the achievements of security forces in combating Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) and the transformation of previously affected regions towards peace, security and development.
A major highlight of the celebrations is a special theatrical presentation on Naxal Mukt Bharat, organised by the National School of Drama (NSD). The presentation features approximately 2,000 artists from 126 districts affected by Left-Wing Extremism, depicting the challenges faced by communities and their journey towards peace, security and development.
The tableaux and cultural performances revolve around the theme of Vande Mataram, highlighting patriotism, national pride and collective belonging. They showcase the aspirations of people, the cultural diversity of States and Union Territories, and their development journeys.
The celebrations also feature a grand cultural presentation involving approximately 5,000 artists from across the country. The performance showcases India’s diverse classical and folk traditions, music, dance and rich artistic heritage. DeshGujarat
