Second bus port of GSRTC in Ahmedabad to open this Sunday

After central bus station at Geeta Mandir, the city of Ahmedabad will get another State Transport(ST) bus port – this one in Ranip area.
Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in presence of national president of ruling BJP and Naranpura MLA Shri Amit Shah will dedicate the new facility.
The new bus port has been developed at a cost of Rs 26 crore in 12,200 square meter area of which 7,222 sq.m is built-up area.
Daily over 1500 buses will use this facility which has 21 platforms including the platforms for parking.
Daily 35-40,000 passengers are likely to use this facility which has been developed through Public Private Partnership(PPP) model.
The bus port will have clock room, ticket counter, inquiry center, digital display, information center, tourism center, variation sign boards, CCTV surveillance system, LED weighting room, wheel chair, luggage trolley, restaurant, canteen, shopping facility in commercial area etc.
