Medium intensity earthquake felt mainly in Bhavnagar and Surat districts, no damage

Ahmedabad: A medium intensity earthquake was felt in parts of Gujarat, mainly in Bhavnagar and Surat districts. There has been no damage to life or property.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, a unit of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the quake occurred at 9:25 AM at a depth of 10 kms.
According to ISR, epicenter of earthquake was 14 km ENE from Surat in South Gujarat on Latitude: 21.271 N Longitude: 72.922 E.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 reported near Surat this morning. State government is taking necessary action. No damage reported till now,” Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel tweeted.
