Over 120 Singapore businesses to attend Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Singapore:Vibrant Gujarat Summit has received good response from Singapore businesses as over 120 enterprises from the country will attend the global meet, a senior state official said here today.
“We have met with a large number of Singapore businesses and government trade related officials during the three-day visit” to promote in Singapore the January 10-13 summit being held in Gujarat, said Ashwini Kumar, secretary to the chief minister, after addressing a seminar on Gujarat s economic prospects.
“The response has been good to the invitation to attend the summit,” he said..
“Everybody is very interested in doing business in India and in Gujarat,” he noted the response of the Singapore business community.
Addressing the seminar, he also expressed Gujarat- based businesses interest to work with international community.
“We want to work with the international business community. And Singapore businesses can find the right partnerships in the state,” Kumar, who is leading a business delegation promoting Vibrant Gujarat.
Delegation members presented a wide range of business prospects and outline the advantages of the planned new policies on aerospace and defence sectors as well as smart cities in the state.
They said massive investments, technologies and expertise would be required for the six smart cities in Gujarat which are part of the 100 Smart Cities initiative announced by the Central Government.
This year the summit will have a roundtables of more than 12 noble laureates and conclave of global CEOs.
Earlier, the delegation visited Taiwan, inviting businesses from there to participate in the summit.
