Revamp work of Ahmedabad Civil hospital near completion, 1200 new beds to be added

Gandhinagar: Revamp of Civil hospital in Ahmedabad with additional 1200-bed facility is near completion, said minister of state for Health Shankarbhai Chaudhary in the assembly today. He said the state-of-the-art hospital complex will have 2,795 new posts. It will have 500 beds for women and child department while 700 beds for super specialty department.
Chaudhary said, the capacity of cancer hospital which is 650 bed at present will be expanded to 1,000 bed. Similarly the capacity of cardiology hospital will be expanded from 450 bed to 1100 bed.
Rs 100 crore provision has been made for pediatric cardiac hospital in UN Mehta hospital campus.
Chaudhary said the capacity of Kidney hospital which is presently 450 bed will be extended to 1250 bed in its new building at Manjushri Mill compound. Same campus will also have 250 bed eye hospital.
