AAI takes over Hirasar land for building a new airport of Rajkot

Rajkot: Technical survey work for building a new airport in Rajkot has kicked off at the sight selected for the projet which is located near Hirasar village.
The government land at Hirasar has been handed over to the Airport Authority of India(AAI) for new airport.
AAI team is already in Rajkot to take over the land and conduct survey which involves study of topography, water channels, possible locations of roads, airport dome, shifting of mobile towers, source of power and water etc. The team after two-day survey, would submit its report in Delhi following which Detail Project Report(DPR) procedure will kick off.
Ground-breaking of new airport is now possible at anytime chosen by the government.
