Gujarat High Court lifts stay: Medical admission process for 1528 seats begins in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Gujarat High Court bench today lifted stay on counseling process for post graduate medical college admissions. With this, the admission process for 1528 medical seats has started.
According to minister of state for Health, Shankarbhai Chaudhary, admission process for courses such as Post graduate diploma, MDMS, MDS has started today.
Chaudhary said, the Gujarat High Court has permitted the government to go ahead with admission process. The first round will see admission process for 1428 seats and in the second round further 245 seats which are new seats approved by the central government will see admission process.
Chaudhary said he was happy that against all challenges, the government will be able to conclude the admission process in timely manner as per the expectations of students.
Chaudhary said the deemed universities such as Sumandeep which was collecting Rs 1 crore for admission will be able to collect only Rs 11 lakh fee now as it has been covered in the common admission process.
Chaudhary thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi and the government in Centre for approving historically highest number of medical seats in Gujarat.
Chaudhary said the students seeking admission will be able to find all details regarding admission procedure online including fees and merit.
