Complaint against 5 Instagrammers for ‘Defaming Rupala’

Rajkot: The Rajkot crime branch police have booked five Instagram account holders for trying to defame Union Minister Parshottam Rupala by posting his photos and videos.

BJP worker Yogesh Pachani filed the complaint, stating that five operators of the Instagram accounts allegedly posted photos and videos to defame Rupala around a week ago.

In the post made by account named, kt__kt__rathod and rathod_is_king_mudetha_3884, the accused called the Union Minister Rupala “Rasiyo Rupala” and said that he passed away on morning of May 7th and his last rites will be done on June 4th. It is noteworthy that the cryptic post hints at the polling day and result day for Lok Sabha Elections respectively.

Vivek Bhatt, additional PS to Rupala, informed the police control room about the posts made on May 13th. The links to these Instagram accounts have also been mailed to the police. Since Rupala, who is the BJP’s candidate for the Rajkot Lok Sabha seat, was busy with the election, Pachani filed the complaint on his behalf. DeshGujarat
