‘Love Jihad’ case in Rajpipla, victim girl commits suicide

Rajpipla: In a latest case of what people prefer to call ‘Love Jihad’, a dalit girl committed suicide allegedly due to harassment from a Muslim youth in district headquarters Rajpipla town of central Gujarat. According to the details available, a youth from Kasbawad locality of Rajpipla, Shahbaz Nakum was for last three months harassing a Hindu dalit girl working in a private clinic in same town. The victim girl yesterday jumped into the river and committed suicide allegedly due to constant harassment by Shahbaz. Police has booked Shahbaz under section 306 and atrocity act section 3(2), (5). DySP AG Gohil is probing the case on complaint by victim girl’s brother.
