2 reportedly washed away and died in Rajkot and Surendranagar

Gandhinagar/Rajkot/Surendranagar: Two people have reportedly washed away in the rain caused floods in Surendranagar and Rajkot district today even as the state government acknowledged 3 other rain related deaths in last 48 hours.
Three people sitting on a tractor, which was trapped in water logging in Dhamrada under Sayla taluka of worst rain-hit Surendranagar district, were carried away by strong currents of whom two were some how rescued. The body of remaining one was being searched.
In Jetkuva area of Rajkot a couple were also trapped in strong water flow caused by rain of whom the wife was rescued by locals but the husband could not be saved.
Meanwhile, Principal secretary of Revenue department Pankaj Kumar told newsmen in Gandhinagar said that one people had died owing to falling a wall and two others have died owing to lightening in last 24 hours.
