Gandhinagar: According to the State BJP media department, 49 of 75 municipalities that went for polling are now ruled by BJP with appointments of BJP office bearers.

‘In last two days, 68 of 75 municipalities witnessed the process of appointment of office bearers, of which 49 have witnessed election of BJP office bearers,’ said BJP statement.

‘BJP has come to power on its own in 43 municipalities, while in Kaalol, Dhandhuka and Tharad it has been supported by others. There was a situation of tie in Gariadhar, Pardi and Khedbrahma where BJP has come to power. Thus BJP is now in power in total 49 municipalities so far after the election of 75 municipalities that concluded recently,’ the statement said further.
