Gujarati paddler Harmeet part of gold winning Team India at CWG, Parents and family members in Surat overjoyed

Parents and family members of Gujarat based star paddler Harmeet Desai, who was part of the gold winning Team India at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast today overjoyed and hoped that their lad would continue the performance in the individual events to fetch more medals for the country.
Father of 24 years old Harmeet, Rajulbhai Desai and his wife hugged each other as soon as Harmeet and his partner Gnanasekaran beat the Nigerian duo of Olajide Omotayo and Abiodun 11-8, 11-5, 11-3 to hand India the title.
Rajulbhai, a resident of Surat and his wife said that they were very happy to see the fruits of hard labour of their child.
‘He use to lead a very dedicated and disciplined life. He had put restrictions on his eating and other habits which at times looked quite painful to me as a mother but today when it has paid off, I am really-really happy,’ his mother said.
His brother also looked joyed and expressed similar views. The family distributed sweets and hoped that Harmeet also brings more laurels to the nation by fetching medals in Individual events as well.
Notably Harmeet has won many national and international medals in various junior and senior events in his career so far.
