Gandhingar:

The state level function of the Independence day on August 15 in Gujarat this year will be held in Surendranagar in which CM Vijay Rupani would hoist the tricolor.

Notably the republic day this year was held in Mahesana.

As per official information issued today Assembly speaker Rajendra Trivedi would participate in the event in Bhavnagar while Deputy CM Nitin Patel would remain present in Vadodara.

The list of minister and districts in this regard is as follows –

Cabinet Ministers-

RC Faldu- Ahmedabad, Bhupendra Chudasama- Rajkot, Kaushik Patel- Surat, Saurabh Patel- Mahesana, Ganpat Vasava- Dahod, Jayesh Radadia- Jamnagar, Dilip Thakor- Kutch Ishwar Parmar- Bharuch, Kunvarji Bavliya – Amreli

Ministers of State-

Pradipsinh Jadeja- Junagadh, Parbat Patel – Banaskantha, Bachu Khabad- Panchmahal, Jaidrath Parmar- Kheda, Ishwar Patel – Valsad, Vasan Ahir- Patan, Vibhawariben Dave- Sabarkantha, Raman Patkar- Anand, Kishor Kanani- Navsari

In the remaining districts the respective collectors would do the flag hoisting.

Notably, the tradition to celebrate the national events like the Independent and Republic day outside capital Gandhinagar was started by the then CM Narendra Modi during his regime to directly connect people from other parts of the state with these.
