Bhavnagar: While passenger-only ship Indigo One is functioning regularly on Ro-Ro ferry route connecting Dahej to Ghogha, the Ro-Pax ferry ship Voyage Symphony which can carry passengers, cargo and vehicles is still out of operation due to ongoing repairing work.
According to private operator that operates the service, Voyage Symphony is likely to resume Ro-Pax ferry service from December 7. Earlier the operator had hoped to restart ferry service of Voyage Symphony from November 26. However repair work has still not completed.
Made in 2015 at South Korea, Voyage Symphony was stopped by captain 3 nautical miles away from Ghogha port in Bhavnagar district after heat alert alarm started ringing. A ship full of over 400 passengers and 90 vehicles from Dahej was brought to Ghogha coast with the help of two tug boats last week.
