Rajkot: Due to the model code of conduct in place by Election Commission, written instruction for release of Narmada water to Bhadar dam from Aaji-1 could not be given by the State government under SAUNI scheme, it is learnt.

It is also learnt that a pipeline which has been laid connecting Aaji-1 dam to Gundasari village near Ribda will now supply Narmada water which will further flow to a channel and reach Veri talav near Gondal. When Veri talav witnesses overflow, surplus water will reach Bhadar dam.
