BJP suspends Bhaipura – Hatkeshwar based party cadre Nilam Patel
October 04, 2019
Ahmedabad: Karnavati (Ahmedabad city) unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suspended party worker Nilam Patel, resident of Bhaipura-Hatkeshwar ward with immediate effect for anti-party activity. According to city unit BJP president Jagdish Panchal, Nilam Navinbhai Patel was canvasing against BJP. It’s worth noting that Amraiwadi assembly seat of city is witnessing assembly seat by-election. While BJP has fielded Jagdish Patel as its candidate, Congress had fielded former BJP cadre Dharmendra Patel as its candidate. Dharmendra Patel had resigned from BJP and later joined Congress after Anandiben Patel stepped down from the post of Chief Minister. Both Dharmendra Patel and Nilam Patel are believed Anandiben Patel loyalists.
