Savvy Swaraj Sports Club to be inaugurated by CM Rupani on February 2 in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The first-of-its-kind sports club in Gujarat with multiple sporting facilities built at a cost of Rs 200 crores here will be inaugurated on February 2 by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Chairman of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), apex body of Private Real Estate Developers Associations, Jaxay Shah, who is also the MD of Savvy Infrastructure that has built the Savvy Swaraj Sports Club, today told newsmen that the club has also tied up with eminent experts in the field of sports like ace Badminton coach Padmabhushan Pullela Gopichand and Swimming expert Kamlesh Nanavati.

The sports club complex spread across 6 acres of land has 50 meter Olympic sized swimming pool, Football ground, cricket pitch, Tennis courts, and 400 meter relay track. In the main 4-storied building the club facilities like squash courts, badminton courts, table tennis and other board game rooms, gymnasium with cutting age equipment were situated at different floors. It will also provide special coaching/training facility to budding players.

Shah said that suggestions have come to develop it as center of excellence in the state to groom the sporting talents in the state.

He said that the whole complex has adopted recycled water for air cooling of it including various courts. ‘We did not want to use air conditioners for this green rated complex and close-by township,’ he said.
