Will vote for BJP in Rajya Sabha election: Lone NCP MLA Kandhal Jadeja
March 17, 2020
Gandhinagar: Lone MLA of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Gujarat assembly, Kandhal Jadeja who represents Kutiyana assembly seat today said he has decided to support BJP in upcoming four-seat Rajya Sabha election, polling for which will take place on March 26. Jadeja said he discussed the development requirement in his constituency and he was satisfied with government response. He said had therefore decided that for development of his constituency and the State he would cast vote in favor of BJP in Rajya Sabha election. MoS Home, Pradipsinh Jadeja who was present in a discussion held with Kandhal, told media persons that Kandhal had agreed to support BJP candidates. Looking at present arithmetic, one of two Congress candidates may not be able to win the election, while all three BJP candidates are most likely to sail through. When Rajya Sabha election was announced, BJP was poised to win only two seats out of four, however later five Congress MLA resigned to pave a way for giving one more seat to BJP. The game at present appears 3 – BJP and 1 – Congress.
