Rajya Sabha MP Abhay Bhardwaj critical, put on ventilator support

Rajkot: Rajya Sabha member of BJP, Abhay Bharadwaj who is under treatment for Covid-19 infection for over last two weeks is critical, it is learnt. His health condition has worsen in last 24 hours. He has been put on ventilator support in the course of treatment. The State government has moved a team of three expert doctors to Rajkot with senior minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama by air from Ahmedabad. Bhardwaj, a leading criminal lawyer is under treatment at Rajkot based Civil hospital. Post his admission in government run Civil hospital, Bhardwaj on 1st September had released a video byte in which he had stated that, ‘last evening Chief Minister who is also my personal friend, spoke to me and he insisted that if we want to set an example, then I should get admission in government run hospital. I have chosen to get admitted in Civil hospital therefore.’ Rupani has today sent expert doctors including Dr. Atul Patel and Dr. Tushar Patel to Rajkor via chartered plane to join the treatment of Bhardwaj. Abhay Bharadwaj had taken oath as Rajya Sabha member just a month ago. Meanwhile, the situation of Covid-19 infection spread in Rajkot is very alarming.
