Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam achieves full level of water on the Birthday of PM Modi

Statue of Unity: Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam, the lifeline of Gujarat has achieved its full water level today on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Water level in the dam today is 138.68 meter, the highest possible level in this dam. With this, Sardar Sarovar has now 100 per cent water storage of 5760 MCM. This is second consecutive year when dam has achieved full level. With this gates of Narmada dam have been opened for surplus water discharge as inflow is continuously on from upstream. In the morning 3 gates were opened for 40,000 cusec discharge of water to downstream. 6 turbines of riverbed power house are now on.
