Amazon India to set up third fulfilment centre in Gujarat at Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Amazon India has announced to set up a Fulfillment Centre in Ahmedabad which according to the company will generate an estimated 5,000 jobs. Spread over more than 2 lakh square feet area, the new Fulfillment Centre will help sellers offer a wider selection within the region and neighbouring states of Gujarat. The company has also taken another 15,000 sq ft sorting centre near Ahmedabad Airport for faster and reliable deliveries of customer orders in the State. With this infrastructure expansion, Amazon will now offer storage capacity of more than 1.5 million cubic feet across three FCs to its over 80,000 sellers in Gujarat.
