Groundbreaking performed for water schemes, new Sainik school

Surat/Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister today performed groundbreaking for Rs. 711 crore Tapi-Karjan link pipeline irrigation project at Umarpada in Surat district of South Gujarat. He also performed groundbreakng for Rs. 50 crore Sainik School.
Proposed irrigation scheme will provide irrigation facility to 53,700 acre land in 73 villages of Umarpada and Dediyapada talukas. This is lift irrigation scheme that shall lift water to height matching to 53 storey tall building.
In another programme at Vadodara today, the Chief Minister dedicated Rs. 417.39 works for potable water supply to Padra, Karjan and Shinor, that include Rs. 71.86 crore Dabhoi group water supply scheme -2 for pure drinking water supply to 74 villages of Dabhoi taluka and 89,000 people cross 14 Narmada colonies. The CM also performed ground breaking for Narmada canal oriented Vadodara bulk pipeline (package1 and 2) through which Vadodara taluka (South) and Karjan town and Shinor taluka – in total 183 will be supplied drinking water. Rupani performed ground breaking for Rs. 161.03 crore Mahi river oriented Padra group water supply scheme for drinking water supply to 80 villages of Padra town and taluka and other villages totaling 88.
