Remdesivir manufacturing to increase, price to go down: Mandaviya

New Delhi: The Government of India has decided to increase the production and supply of Remdesivir drug and reduce its prices. Thanks to this decision, production capacity for manufacturing will ramp up to around 80 lakh vials per month. Manufacturers of Remdesivir are also going to reduce the price to less than Rs 3500 by the end of this week. These details were shared by union minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
The issue of availability of Remdesivir was reviewed by minister Mansukh Mandaviya in meetings with existing manufacturers of Remdesivir drug and other stakeholders on 12-13 March where decisions was taken to increase the production, supply and reduce the prices of Remdesivir.
