Mandvi in Kutch to get Soda Ash project worth Rs. 3500 crore

Bhuj: The first project of Soda Ash in Kutch will be set up at Bada beach in Mandvi taluka of Kutch with an estimated investment of Rs 3500 crores by Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited (GHCL), an arm of Dalmia group.
The project will come up at a location about 4 kms away from Bada village, for which around 500 acres of land acquisition has been completed. The acquisition of a total 85 percent private land and 15 percent government land has ben concluded.
The project once completed, will have capacity to produce about 11 lakh ton soda ash which includes 5.50 lakh ton in the first phase and 5.50 lakh ton in the second phase. Proposed project aims to promote opportunities at the local level. DeshGujarat
