Gandhinagar: Instead of protesting at Gaun Seva Pasandagi Mandal office over paper leak row, opposition Aam Admi Party (AAP) cadres today rushed to ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here and created ruckus.

AAP leaders and cadres suddenly entered into the State BJP headquarters ‘Shri Kamalam’ in the afternoon and staged protest over paper leak row. Two women cadres of BJP Shraddha Jha and Shraddha Rajput alleged they were physically assaulted by AAP cadres. They showed nail injury marks over their body to media persons.

AAP had not obtained any permission from police for staging protest. Rajput alleged that AAP cadres caused injuries to women karyakarta of BJP and AAP male cadres were using abusive words in presence of women. She said she has been active in politics for long but for the first time she has seen such a behave.

Rajput said, she has identified Gopal Italia, Isudan Gadhvi and Pravin Ram. Rajput has submitted application to police over the incident. It has been alleged that AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi was drunk. Gadhvi could be taken to government hospital to check whether he was drunk or not.

Another woman cadre of BJP, Shraddha ha who was present at party headquarters said, the AAP cadres initially were shouting slogans, but then started using abusive language. They were apparently here to create ruckus. I along with Shraddha Rajput advised AAP women to leave the place after token protest but we were attacked. They had come here with intention of creating ruckus. AAP male cadres were beating up BJP’s two women cadres with sticks of banners, said Shraddha Jha.

Jha said, there was smell of liquor coming out from the mob of protesters and they were definitely drunk.

As the protest and gathering inside the BJP headquarters was held without police permission, AAP cadres were flushed out by using required force by police when confronted.

AAP has meanwhile alleged that Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Gujarat chief was roaming with stick in his hand. However BJP media cell convener Yagnesh Dave clarified that among BJP leaders only he and Rutvij Patel were present at party headquarters during the AAP attack. Dave said Nikhil Savani who was also part of protesting mob ran away as soon as Police came.

Meanwhile Infocity police station in Gandhinagar has reportedly booked AAP leaders including Isudan Gadhvi, Gopal Italiya, Shivkumar, Hamukh Patel, Nikhil Savani, Pravin Ram among others for trespassing, rioting and more.

It’s worth noting that State Police has arrested a key person who leaked Gaun Seva Pasandagi Mandal’s exam paper for recruitment of head clerks. However AAP had rushed to BJP office with demand of resignation of Pasandagi Mandal’s chairman Asit Vora.
