IMD forecast for unseasonal rains in parts of Gujarat; Warning issued for fishermen

Gandhinagar: Several districts of Gujarat will witness unseasonal light rainfall at isolated places from 20th to 22nd January, as per forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Light rains will occur at isolated places in the districts namely Banaskantha, Patan and Kutch on 20th January, as per IMD weather forecast.
On 21st January, light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Aravalli, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Patan and Sabarkantha and in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Dwarka, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Morbi, Porbandar, Rajkot and Kutch, as stated by IMD.
Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts namely Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Bharuch, Chhotaudepur and Surat on 22nd January, IMD adds.
IMD has issued fishermen warning for the North Gujarat Coast from 20th to 21st January. The north Gujarat coast includes Jakhau, Mandvi(Kutch), Mundra, New Kandla, Navlakhi, Jamnagar, Salaya, Okha, and Porbandar.
IMD stated that strong winds with speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely to prevail along and off North Gujarat coast and adjoining Northeast Arabian Sea and Northwest Arabian Sea from 20th January to 21st January 2022. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the above-mentioned area during the above-mentioned period, states IMD. DeshGujarat
