Modi worships cow, opens a month long Pashu Arogya Mela

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday opened first Pashu Arogya Mela of this year at Petlad in central Gujarat.
Modi worshiped holy cow and started Pashu Mela progamme which would continue for one month at 2700 different places.
Modi said while Gujarat govt organized Industrial investment global summit once in two years for two days, the govt organizes Animal health fair for one month every year.
Modi said in entire nation, it is only Gujarat state that works for dental care of animals. Gujarat has also initiated cataract treatment of cattle. Gujarat’s milk production has witnessed 66% rise in last decade. Gujarat annual milk production has touched 88.42 lakh metric tone mark. Gujarat govt treats 1 million animals, and involves more than 7 lakh animals in immunization programme.
The Chief Minister honored successful cattle keepers, and distributed cheques to beneficiaries of various schemes under Animal husbandry department of state govt.
Worshiping a Gir cow, Mr. Modi said, how there are more Gir breed of cows in Brazil in compare to Gujarat where this breed actually originates.
