Karjan: According to a Police complaint filed with Police in Karjan, a Muslim man allegedly raped a Hindu female in Karjan by giving threats to make their photographs viral on social media.

The accused Sarfaraz Mahmad Shaikh (lives in Gokul Vibhag-3, Jalaram Nagar, Karjan) and the 20-year old Hindu female living in Karjan came to the same tuition classes, from where they became friends and later started an affair. The accused Sarfaraz called her in a guest house in Nava Bajar to meet in March and asked to have sex. When she denied, he gave threats to make their pictures viral on social media. Thus, he allegedly raped her by having sex against her will.

The accused had told her not to share the matter with anyone. The accused repeated the same in a lodge in May by raping her after giving threats to make the photographs to viral. The Hindu female’s parents found out everything after conducting her inquiry after learning about the matter. The Hindu female filed a complaint at Karjan police station.
